Competitive Dance

Competitive dance is a venue for students who wish to pursue their dance studies to a more serious level. Our Competition Teams learn, rehearse and compete together at regional, national, and international events each spring. We have traveled as near as London and as far as Los Angeles and New York State!

We offer Competitive Teams for ages 3 and up, at all levels and in all forms of dance. In addition, Expressions Cheer Elite are our specialized cheerleading teams.

Competitive dance is a rewarding way to be part of a cohesive team, to develop your technique, and to gain experience on different stages. It does require some additional commitment to attend extra rehearsals, performances and the competitions themselves. At Expressions, team fundraising offsets a large portion of the costs such as costumes for competitive dance so that it is affordable for all.

In the past few years we have been home to our National Champion Irish Dance Team, World Level Hip Hop Team, Canada's Junior NFL & CFL Cheerleaders, countless dance scholarship winners, a Gold Medal for Artistic Integrity, many first place finishes and overall trophies such as Excellence in Choreography, Best Overall Costume, Broadway Bound, Most Promising Dancer, Outstanding Teamwork, Excellence in Performance and Execution, and Highest Score Awards. Well over 150 medals in the past 3 years!
